We are seeking a forward-thinking and detail-oriented Subtitling Language lead for Tagalog/Filipino to join our Media & Entertainment division. This role plays a crucial part in optimizing subtitling workflows, ensuring high-quality, culturally accurate localized content.
Key Responsibilities
Resource Management: Build, manage, and support the Filipino linguist pool, ensuring adequate training and resource allocation. Performance Oversight: Monitor and evaluate the performance of linguist team members, collaborating with project managers/coordinators to address performance gaps and improve output quality. Training & Development: Ensure that all linguists are well-versed in company standards, guidelines, and quality requirements. Organize training sessions, Q&A discussions, and additional support as needed to enhance team performance. Quality Assurance: Perform detailed linguistic and technical checks on subtitling files, ensuring compliance with timing, formatting, and language-specific guidelines. Ensuring that all deliverables meet high standards of accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance. Guideline Compliance: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of language-specific guidelines and ensure alignment with subtitling project requirements. Tool Expertise: Utilize subtitling tools such as EZTitles, OOONA, and productivity tools like Google Drive, Microsoft Office, and other similar platforms to streamline workflows and maintain efficiency. Problem Solving: Act as a point of contact for practical problem solving and provide swift, effective solutions to challenges in translation and subtitling workflows.
