The role:

Your role will involve working collaboratively with childcare providers, schools and local communities to expand places in areas of need.  Your knowledge and experience of delivering high quality childcare provision will be intrinsic to the advice and guidance that you provide.  You will be the eyes and ears for the sufficiency team, gathering intelligence on local sufficiency needs that compliments the data.  In addition, where providers are tenants of LCC, you will support providers in ensuring security of tenure, by conducting affordability checks and rent reviews.  The post is subject to hybrid working conditions and travel throughout the county will be essential.

About the team:

You will be joining the team at an exciting time with the expansion and growth of the childcare sector.  The team is responsible for ensuring there is sufficient and sustainable childcare across the county and is a pivotal cog in the larger wheel that is the Early Years and Childcare (EYCC) team. The early years team is a dynamic team with diverse experience across the childcare and education sector.

Experience of delivering quality and sustainable childcare provision An understanding and ability to work with and interpret data An ability to inspire and motivate others Excellent  communication skills, both verbal and written

Proactive attitude with the skills to self manage workload
