Job Title: Lift Maintenance Apprentice

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $18.50 to $20.40+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
Job Summary:
To assist technicians in maintaining lift equipment to ensure safe and reliable uphill transportation. This is an entry level seasonal position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all duties requested by Lift Technicians related to the basic maintenance of Copper Mountains’ lift equipment.
Perform duties necessary for shop and equipment maintenance.
Be competent in operation of ski lifts for maintenance purposes.
Become competent at safe operation of snowmobiles and ATV’s.
Become familiar with all related maintenance tools, equipment and parts; including basic safe usage.
Be competent in basic departmental safety precautions, policies and procedures.
Guest Service Duties:
Minimal but contact with guests can be assumed in the course of assigned duties and expected to uphold Copper Mountain’s Core Values.

Basic Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to fluently read, write and speak the English language.
Eyesight must be near 20/20 or near 20/20 using corrective lenses.
Hearing must be adequate for normal conversational activity. Use of corrective hearing device is permitted.
Must be willing to climb and work at heights exceeding 20’ using provided approved fall protective equipment.
Must be able to stand and work in stationary position and/or elevated movement limiting platforms for extended periods.
Must be able to work outdoors in adverse mountain climate conditions.
Must be able to endure work shifts of 10 hours or longer.
Must possess a valid US driver’s license.
Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred Experience and Special Skills:
Must have high school diploma.
Lift operations experience is desirable.
Experience with basic hand and power tools.
