These tests can be endurance, performance, vibration, fluids, electro-mechanical interference, design assurance special tests, and systems integration tests. + Responsible for investigations of returned components, following components through to production acceptance testing, measurements, and teardown, submitting tear down reports with root cause to our customers. + Responsible for working with quality and our suppliers for recommending and implementing product improvements addressing the identified root cause(s). + Supporting internal valve re-design improvement efforts, engineering certification test plan development and support of testing, release of certification test reports, and release of stop orders to allow production of the new component. + Support production with components not passing testing or having non-compliance issues with requirements + Cost reduction efforts for components, reducing and streamlining production acceptance testing. + Review/prepare engineering change documentation Electronics Development & Test Engineering Co-op (Electrical or Aerospace) Focused on development of electrical hardware & engineering process documentation per Parker Meggitt standard, testing of hardware + Applying basic electrical engineering principles and analysis to the resolution of technical problems such as circuit analysis and troubleshooting. + Supporting test programs to validate performance meets products requirements designs + Supporting project deliverables such as documentation, drawings, wiring diagrams, reports, etc. + Working with electrical test equipment such as digital multi-meter (DMM), oscilloscope, function generator, power supplies, etc. + Review/prepare engineering change documentation Engineering Services Co-op (Aerospace or Mechanical) Technical Support Engineering Supporting solutions to engineering issues for in-service aircrafts to help build positive relationships with our customers + Aids design improvements of existing products which may include product design changes, root cause corrective action investigations, & development of troubleshooting tools for maintenance + Supports the update of component maintenance manuals (CMMs) for in-service aircraft model programs + Works closely with other engineering departments, metallurgist, program manager(s), warranty manager, quality assurance, & the maintenance, repair, & overhaul (MRO) repair stations to help solve problems involving product deficiencies, design changes, maintenance issues, & manufacturing processes & costs, enabling the cross-pollination of design ideas/technical know-how + Interfacing with customer engineers & repair shop technicians on product performance & maintenance, & with suppliers for technical information + Review/prepare engineering change documentation Test Engineering Helps create test documentation, supports qualification/development testing, & performs testing activities + Assisting with Qualification Test QTO (Qualification Test Outline), Qualification Test Procedures (QTPs), Qualification Test Reports (QTRs), & FRACA (Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action) documentation + Helps with product testing down in the lab dynamometer &/or environmental lab + Participate in root cause corrective action investigations following test failures + Works with lead engineers and other disciplines as part of the New Product Introduction (NPI) team + Hands-on opportunities with actual hardware Wheel & Brake Design Co-op (Aerospace, Mechanical, & Chemical) Wheel & Brake Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace) Supports development of new wheel & brake equipment, ensuring design meets requirements: (customer, government, internal) + Assisting performance calculations and simulations to validate that the equipment will meet the required design requirements + Creation & review of technical requirement documents in accordance with standards: (customer, government, internal) + Supporting new product introduction (NPI) including requirements management & validation, design manufacturing phase, qualification / certification testing, & initial entry into service + Coordination with other engineering functions to support equipment development + Ensuring adequate design margins are met coordinating with stress, thermal, vibration & reliability analysis engineers + Working with supply chain and/or operations on Designs for Manufacturing (DFM) & satisfying the Design to Cost (DTC) targets + Works with test & lead engineers to assist in the development of all qual test documents & test set-up drawings + Supporting Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) for qualification / design / manufacturing issues + Review/prepare engineering change documentation Friction Materials Engineering (Chemical) Focused on activities and operations of the friction materials team + Supporting the design and manufacturing of new and legacy aerospace friction materials + Assisting cross functional teams with antioxidant coatings testing; Working closely with engineers/technicians to develop & complete qualification &/or manufacturing support testing + Assisting with collection & compilation of data related to friction materials + Improving engineering tools & systems to increase their efficiency;
