Our Summer Internship Experience (SIE) is a 10-week program that allows students to dive into a project relevant to their studies to further their learnings. During our 10-week program, you will participate in trainings, development sessions, as well as lots of exciting programming.
The dates for our 2025 Program will be May 12, 2025 to July 25, 2025, and will consist of a 35-40 hour work week.
INTERN PROGRAM: The Danone North American (DNA) Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team is responsible for workplace safety, including implementing safety protocols, training programs and emergency response strategies to safeguard employees from occupational hazards including Lockout Tagout procedures, chemical inventory and Safety Data Sheet management, noise dosimetry, and operator training. The intern program aims to provide individuals with the opportunity to gain valuable EHS experience through real-world assignments, culminating in a presentation of project results to the Leadership Team.

Specific project responsibilities will be identified 30-60 days prior to the start of the internship, based on business need and intern interest.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leverage knowledge and competence to complete projects using appropriate research, statistical methods, and technical reporting.Maintain stringent documentationProvide support to the Lockout Tagout manager to create missing LOTO proceduresAudit current LOTO procedures to ensure accurancyReview our online database of SDS's to ensure all SDS's are file correctly with a view to replacing physical SDS binders at the plantConduct noise dosimetry and update the Noise map of the plant to include new equipment and areasAssist with new hire orientation training and other EHS trainings are requiredWork with, and provide technical leadership, to cross-functions teamsIt is preferred that the candidate be a JUNIOR or SENIOR, pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree, and have completed courses in Occupation and Environmental Health Sciences, Environmental Health, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related majorProven leadership, problem solving, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in teamsSelf-starter who takes initiative to identify areas of opportunity and take actionExcellent time management and prioritization skills with a proven ability to handle multiple projects with conflicting deadlinesA high level of competence in computer applications and the ability to use technologyAbility to handle confidential information and use discretion within and outside of the organizationPrevious internship or work experience is highly preferredInterest in the consumer-packaging goods/manufacturing industry with the desire to start a career with Danone brands after graduation (strongly preferred)At Danone, we believe that every time we eat or drink, we vote for the world we want. The base compensation range for this position is $24 per hour.
