Summer 2025 Intern - UX Design

Summer Internships: Monday, May 19, 2025 (40/hours per week max)

The User Experience Intern helps to design, research, and prototype superior user experiences across the entire product suite. UX Interns work closely with senior Designers, Customers, Engineers, Product Managers and User Researchers to discover, validate, design, prototype, test, and iterate on products that ship continuously.
 

What You’ll Do

Build pixel-perfect vector versions of our UI components and interfaces.

Assist with building vector icons and preparing files for implementation.

Apply our visual style consistently to top-notch interactions.

Document precise dimensions, colors, and fonts used in mockups for developers building HTML5 and mobile applications.

Maintain a growing library of visual design assets.


What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

Must be actively enrolled in a degree-seeking program in Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Graphic Design, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

Experience translating designs into mockups and functional prototypes (Figma, HTML/CSS, etc.)

Experience telling the story about the user workflow and ability to articulate UX/UI decisions

Experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, a plus

Solid design skills and a great portfolio (showing your process and sketches, not just the finished product)

Intense passion for design and user experience

Good collaboration skills

Self-motivated

Proficient within the Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite, especially Illustrator


Working Conditions & Travel Requirements

Minimal travel

Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office

Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the future
