Summer 2025 Internship - Instruments & Controls

Freese and Nichols is excited to launch intern recruiting for our Instruments & Controls team in Fort Worth, TX! After making the Top 100 Internship Program list given by Yello and WayUp we hope to make summer 2025 even better and we need YOU to do it!  

What will your summer look like? 

Working under professional engineers, you will be working on projects that impact your surrounding communities and beyond. While you will be working in one engineering discipline, you will have the opportunity to learn about our other technical practice areas so you can learn about where your passions may lie. Of course, an internship is a large part of learning more about what you can do with your degree, but we also want to give you the opportunity to expand your network through connections with the young professionals employee resource group Rise & Thrive who will host events across the company over the summer.  

What does the role look like? 

This internship will require you to be in office each day to help build connections with your group, fellow interns, and others. Relocation or housing stipends will NOT be provided for internships. This internship is housed in our Electrical practice on our Instruments & Controls team. Learn more about what each practice does.

Responsibilities: 

Assist in the instrumentation and control design of water and wastewater facilitiesAssist in the design of computer networks and radio communication systemsPerform specific and limited tasks within a broader assignment Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations 

QualificationsCurrent student pursuing a BS or MS degree in one of the majors listed above Graduation date of August 2025 or later 

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience with Revit or AutoCADStudent organizational involvement
