Summer 2025 IT Operations Specialist Intern (Minneapolis, MN)

Role Overview:   

Amplifon Americas, parent company to Miracle-Ear and Amplifon Hearing Healthcare, a global leader in hearing health care, has a strong demand for an authentic, creative, diverse and versatile candidate for our Summer 2025 IT Operations Internship. Our 10-week paid internship program is designed to align with your interests and skillsets, providing you with a unique opportunity to grow professionally. The IT Operations Specialist Intern will provide technical support for datacenter, applications, network connectivity, desktop computers and related technology. This role will require hands-on technical, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide tactical and technical infrastructure services to our corporate office staff and business partners.

Key Responsibilities: 

Monitor and maintain operations including technical infrastructure environments Contribute to the development and implementation of complex processes and procedures Provide end user support related to company devices Deliver excellent customer service using documented procedures and available tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues and requests Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services, as necessary Upgrade and configure system software that supports Amplifon infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs Work with vendor contacts to resolve hardware, software and networking technical issues

Qualifications in this role include, but are not limited to: 

Must be an active junior or senior in a 4-year bachelor degree program focusing on computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related technical field.  Technical Certification (A+, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCDA, or ITIL certification) also considered as part of education requirements Experience or exposure to administering the following technical systems or applications: Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Servers, Exchange, MSSQL Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Cloud, Microsoft SQL 2008/2014 VMWare Server backup and data/systems recovery/restores Client based antivirus systems (i.e. McAfee VirusScan) Client Operating Systems (MAC, Windows 7, Windows 10) Microsoft Office Tools

Preferred Experience and Skills: 

Demonstrated experience delivering superior customer service. Displays a high degree of motivation, dedication and team orientation. Must be comfortable working with all levels of the organization. Capable of reading diagnosing problems during business and non-business hours. Committed to providing a high degree of customer service. Must have good understanding of Networking, encryption concepts and security concepts. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Demonstrates strong project management skills and is open to changes
