**Job Description** **Primary Duties / Responsibilities:** + Learn plant processes and become familiar with all product value streams at Portales. + Drive improvement projects identified by the production manager, targeting plant top 3 losses/initiatives for 2025. + Review and identify opportunities for standard work across shifts within the department. + Identify, organize, and drive 1 focused-improvement opportunity that improves either safety, quality, or efficiency. + Spend some time in other plant departments to gain a holistic understanding of how a plant operates. + 5S in the production areas. **Requirements** The qualified candidate will be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a degree focus in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Ag/Dairy Science or related field.
