Summer Associate (Community Affairs)
Clark Construction Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Associate to join our team for the 2025 summer season. Under the leadership of the Southern California Community Affairs team, the Summer Associate will provide support across multiple initiatives, including contractor follow-ups, internal communications, project management assistance, and event logistics. This is a fantastic opportunity for a student or early career professional to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

TCIF Follow-ups (Trade Contractor Interest Forms): Track and follow up on submitted Trade Contractor Interest Forms (TCIF), ensuring timely communication with interested contractors and accurate input of data for reporting purposes.
 

Bidders List Management: Assist in maintaining and organizing bidders' lists, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
 

ClarkNet Management: Update and manage content on Clark Construction’s internal portal, ClarkNet, to ensure the site reflects current initiatives, resources, and achievements.
 

Newsletter Archive: Organize and maintain an archive of newsletters and communication materials for future reference and historical recordkeeping.
 

Office Updates/Event Articles: Draft and edit articles about office updates, events, and initiatives to share with both internal and external audiences.
 

Strategic Partnership Program (SPP) Assistance: Provide logistical and administrative support for Strategic Partnership Program (SPP) sessions, including material preparation, scheduling, and communication with participants.
 

Outreach & Engagement Assistance: Assist in planning and executing outreach and engagement activities, including coordination and support for event logistics.
 

Monthly Project Snapshots: Update monthly project snapshots to ensure the latest information is captured regarding project progress, milestones, and key initiatives.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (preferably in Business or Public Administration, Communications, Construction Management, or a related field).

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Interest in construction industry practices and project management.

Summer Associate Program Overview

Our summer associate program provides a realistic view of what it’s like to work at Clark through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Our goal is to provide you with countless opportunities for learning, growth, and career development, and we are committed to delivering an exceptional experience both professionally and personally. In addition to gaining valuable hands-on experience, you will have the opportunity to build relationships throughout the organization through activities such as socials, jobsite tours, community service, and company events.

The summer associate program is a full-time program (minimum of 40 hours per week) that starts in late May or early June and typically runs about 8-10 weeks in length. Summer Associates are eligible and encouraged to work overtime during their time at Clark. Clark offers positions at its offices and jobsites throughout the country.

Summer Associate Range: Clark offers a total compensation package. Benefits could include commuter benefits or fitness reimbursement. Hourly rates will be determined by factors such as geographic location, education, skills, experience, and market considerations.  For this role the hourly rate is $24-30/ hr.
