The Project Finance Summer Associate will have a unique opportunity to work with a growing Project Finance Americas team, responsible for structuring and executing prudent and profitable renewable energy project financing transactions. The PF Summer Associate will have exposure to a broad range of technologies (e.g. solar, wind, battery, energy efficiency, fuel cells and EV's) as well as transaction structures (e.g. traditional project finance, equipment finance and portfolio financing). You and Your Job
As a Summer Associate - Project Finance you will be successful by reviewing and executing finance opportunities in the Energy Transition sector as well as work on project to enhance the expertise of the team on relevant current themes in the renewables industry
The PF Summer Associate will be expected to:
Act as an essential deal team members in structuring, and executing renewable energy financing transactions
Build relationships within the organization and industry stakeholders
Gain and share expertise on various renewable energy technologies and financing structures
Be able to review and analyse technical reports, insurance reports and financial models.
Job Responsibilities
Day-to-day responsibilities to include:
Constructing Evaluating financial models for renewable energy projects and other project finance transactions
Understanding key financing risks and recommending mitigants to alleviate such risks
Reviewing key project documents, including Power Purchase Agreements, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Agreements, and Operations and Maintenance Agreements
Reviewing financing agreements
Assessing transmission, market, independent engineering, appraisal, and insurance consultant reports
Drafting internal transaction documents and credit memos
Your Promise to Us:
To be considered for the Summer Associate - Project Finance role, you must have:
At least one year of work experience that involves financial modelling
Basic knowledge in project finance and key risk factors in project finance transactions
Previous experiences in investment banking, investment research, or renewable energy project development is preferred
Be passionate about renewable energy and the broader Energy Transition
Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program

Salary Expectations:
Target Hiring Range: $75.60/Hour
This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons.
