Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Development Operations department located at our Fremont facility. As an Intern, you will evaluate alternative technologies to tangential flow filtration (TFF) and work on optimizing buffer management.

Duties & Responsibilities Conduct techno-economic analyses of filtration and buffer conditioning systems Evaluate feasibilities technology solutions and implementability into current Biomanufacturing processes. Gain operational knowledge in biomanufacturing processes.Integrate into matrixed technical teams and communicates ideas and results to support decision makingUnderstand and apply basic scientific, engineering, and business principles with guidance.Requirements Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferredMajor or minor in related field of internshipUndergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or universityGraduate and Advanced Degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university
Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to evaluate and compare different commercial technical solutions for a specific applicationExperience with inline buffer conditioning systemsExperience with tangential flow filtration (TFF)Some experience with facility fit and process cost assessment and return of investment (ROI) analysisSome expertise accessing operational impact of specific technologiesSome hands-on process engineering expertiseCompensation DataThis position offers a base salary typically between ($22.00) and ($33.00). There is opportunity to consider higher compensation above this range based on business need, candidate experience and or skills.
