Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as a point of contact outside of business hours for all summer clients and ensure client satisfaction
• Confer with clients to address questions, problems, and requests
• Be a part of the 24/7 Duty phone rotation
• Relay pertinent information to and from C&E professional staff
• Supervise and assist the staff in the preparation and management of check in/check outs for assigned groups. Be prepared to problem solve through any issues.
• Supervise and assist in key and card audits/reconciliations
• Provide a written account of unacceptable behavior/incidents on accountability form. Have disciplinary conversations with team members when needed.
• Attend weekly meetings with all staff
• Assist with training and supervision of CEC and CEM, with direct management to Conferences and Events Managers (CEM).
• Conduct weekly meetings with your direct reports and attend manager meetings with their reports
• Maintain a professional environment with all seasonal employees and summer clients
• Develop community and peer relationships, build rapport that fosters open communication and act as a positive role model
• Maintain standards of excellent customer service
• Work cooperatively with other CEL’s, CEM’s, CEC’s, Dining staff, VU Housekeeping staff, and Plant Operations staff members
• Serve as an extension of the professional staff and ensure staff are completing tasks on time, showing up to shifts, etc.
• Audit maintenance requests through ReADY and assist when needed
• Be available to assist with any on campus emergencies, as directed from Professional Staff
• Coordinate mid/end of summer staff fun activities
• Fulfill administrative tasks from Conferences and Events Professional staff as needed
