The EWP engineering group is offering a summer engineering intern assignment near Atlanta, GA or near Philadelphia, PA. The selected summer engineering intern will be primarily devoted to special projects that will aid the specification of Weyerhaeuser’s Trus Joist EWP products but will also provide day-to-day engineering support to Weyerhaeuser customers. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our team of talented professional engineers. Your background in Structural/Civil Engineering and problem-solving coupled, with an interest in product analysis and design, will lead to your success in this position.
The duration of this internship is approximately 12 weeks starting in the summer of 2025. This role will be hybrid in nature, requiring you to work in the office for three days and remotely for two days. The position will offer a unique experience where your academics will be utilized in actual field analysis and design projects. Functional knowledge of AutoCAD or related drafting softwareFunctional knowledge of Visual Basic macro development in ExcelCompletion of Timber Design courseCompensation: The pay rate for this role ranges from $25.00 - $28.00 per hour based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience.
