Seeking a Full Time Summer Fun & Youth Works Coordinator on our Summer Fun Team

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To give hands on oversight and administration of the Niagara Falls Summer Fun program and Youth Works program.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be 18 years old or older
• Design program schedule and activities, develop policies and procedures, prepare
and keep updated enrollment forms, attendance sheets, etc.
• Maintain all child records and statistical forms
• Enroll children and maintain current and accurate files on children
• Lead children in craft, educational, recreational and spiritual activities.
• Provide supervision to children on and off premises as needed.
• Receive and dismiss children daily in designated areas.
• Maintain a safe environment for program.
• Supervise meal distribution.
• Supervise Youth Works volunteers.
• Act as a mediator and role model in helping children learn self control and problem solving.
• Participate in all other duties and activities as assigned by the Corps Officer.

 

Qualifications

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Desire and ability to work in a team environment
• Desire and ability to work with children
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and volunteers
• Ability to lead and teach activities
• Energetic, sense of humor, patience and self-control
• Safety oriented at all times
