Location/Region: This position is located in Dublin, CA.

What’s the role?

As a Field Service Engineer Intern, you’ll undergo technical training and on-the-job experiences designed to prepare you for success.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Successfully completing technical training to acquire foundational knowledge of ZEISS microscopy equipment.

Demonstrating technical proficiency by applying classroom concepts in real-world settings.

Participating actively in on-the-job training (OJT), assisting experienced FSEs, and working in customer environments.

Caring for ZEISS tools and equipment with a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Delivering a presentation at the end of the program to showcase your learning and contributions.

Do you qualify?

Must be local to California.

Passion for electronics, mechanics, and problem-solving.

Interest or experience in technical repair and troubleshooting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interactions.

Dedication to learning and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Currently enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate or graduate degree program in a technical or scientific discipline, or possess equivalent experience.

Demonstrated eagerness to learn and troubleshoot across multiple domains, including software, electronics, optics, electron optics, high voltage, high vacuum, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems.

Proven ability to work effectively both as an individual contributor and as part of a collaborative team.

Additional Details

This is a customer-facing role that involves travel to various lab and institutional locations.

Adherence to ZEISS Corporate Travel Policy and safety standards is required.

The internship culminates with a presentation to peers and management, highlighting your growth and achievements.

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00
