ResponsibilitiesAs a Construction Management Intern in Washington, D.C. with Hines, you will:
Work with Project Manager to review cost, schedule, safety, quality, and completion of construction projects.Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge and additional training in construction and development.Assist in preparation and maintenance of progress reports, re-projections, and other documentation required for construction.Assist with development of project estimates, pricing, and schedules.Contribute to the creation and maintenance of schedules and budgets as needed for support of projects.Assist in preparation and maintenance of cash flows and monthly billing.Assist in preparing and obtaining change orders for assigned projects.Support the monitoring and reporting of the health of a project.Bring potential project-related problems and possible solutions to the attention of the responsible party. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements include:
Students from construction management, civil engineering or building construction degrees will be considered.Technical foundation in construction.Self-starter, with the ability to be a team player and prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Strong oral and written communication skills.Willingness to travel to job sites.Current Juniors and Seniors will be considered.Compensation: $25/hr Closing
