Summer Intern - LTS Intern (1st Shift) - Scottsdale/Remote
APL Logistics
Overview:
The LTS Intern will support the LTS business units and managers in analyzing, streamlining, and implementing file retention policies consistent with APLL policy. The LTS Intern will collaborate closely with the LTS management team to understand current procedures and align all business units while consolidating the units into one business unit in line with APLL Policy.
Responsibilities:
Interview LTS managers and staff to determine what each business unit has in place for current file retention policy and procedures Analyze each business units file retention policy to combine the LTS business units and streamline the process that offers best practices and is in line with APLL policy. Build a timeline and process for implementing the best practices and procedures for file retention. Work with the management team to implement the process on the agreed to timeline. Communicate daily with the manager to report on progress and coordinate how to move forward effectively. Provide weekly recap to manager with updated timelines for completion of the project. At the end of the internship, the intern will present to the senior management and fellow interns a PowerPoint presentation of their project and results.Key Result Areas:
File retention policies and procedures redefined. File retention policies and procedures implemented and centralized.Qualifications:
Actively enrolled in an accredited University. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams)Requirements:
Independent while being able to take instruction. Must be able to communicate effectively with managers and senior leadership. Time management skills. Must be able to present the project plans in an organized and efficient manner.Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.
The hourly wage for this position is $20.00.
Candidates are eligible for the following benefit:
• one (1) hour of paid sick time for every thirty (30) hrs worked, and up to a maximum of forty-eight (48) hrs each calendar yr.
