This role is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to join BeiGene's rapidly growing global Procurement network. We support the NA, Europe, and APAC. We are looking for an individual who is interested in understanding Procurement holistically. A successful candidate will learn and adapt quickly to the changing nature of the business and work well with cross-functional team members.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in the Biotech/Pharma industry with a solid understanding of Procurement/Supply Chain Management concepts. For collaboration purposes, we require strong communication and cultural sensitivity with US, European, and Asian colleagues. As a valuable resource to the organization, the incumbent is proactive and brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a non-structured environment.
Responsibilities:
Category Management (Contract Manufacturing (CMO)
Develop data analytics and applications tailored for Contract Manufacturing (CMO).Conduct a comprehensive spend analysis spanning the CMO's historical five-year trend to identify patterns and insights.Design and implement a CMO project dashboard to provide a clear overview of project status and key information.Provide support in major contract negotiation projects, leveraging expertise to ensure favorable outcomes.Monitor the advancement of sourcing projects diligently and promptly alert relevant stakeholders to any anticipated shortfall in overall targets or delivery schedules, proposing potential mitigation strategies.Recognize and address risks that may impede the achievement of project targets, timelines, and objectives, taking proactive measures to mitigate them effectively.Category Management Commercial Categories (M&E, Market Research, Advertising, Creative)
Assist with a Request for Proposal (RFP):Collaborate with the Procurement team to develop and manage RFPs for key projects.Help draft RFP documents, consolidate supplier responses, and perform comparative analyses.Support communications with suppliers to clarify requirements and timelines.Support Capabilities Matrix Development:Assist in adding to a detailed capabilities matrix for suppliers, focusing on oncology commercial services.Research and organize data to evaluate supplier strengths, services, and differentiators.Contribute to insights that guide supplier selection and strategic decision-making.Spend Data Cleanup and Analysis:Support the creation of spend reports that provide actionable insights for cost-saving opportunities.Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:Work closely with stakeholders across the Procurement, Legal, and Commercial teams.Support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Program:Assist in tracking supplier performance, feedback, and key metrics.Help facilitate supplier scorecardsContribute to initiatives that strengthen supplier partnerships and improve engagement.Essential Functions of the Internship:
