This role will support the Samsung marketing team responsible for driving sales of Samsung products at Best Buy. The role is located in Edina, MN and is part of a larger sales and marketing organization that develops all of the messaging and marketing to Best Buy shoppers. Applicants for this role should have demonstrated interest or experience in both marketing and analytics. Key projects for this role could include the following:
Customer Segmentation – This role will work closely with Samsung analytic and insight teams to understand and develop customer segmentations. The work will include mining existing profiles and working with cross functional teams to update those profiles based on specific projects that the intern will own during the summer.
Messaging Strategy and Marketing Plans – This role will include project work to define and articulate a messaging strategy that will explain the benefits of Samsung products to our target consumer. Once this messaging strategy is defined the intern will then be responsible for working on the marketing plans to deliver that messaging strategy to target audiences.
Analysis and Optimizations – The role will also be responsible for analyzing the recent performance of key tactics. The analysis will identify what tactics are working or not working and will include insights on what is driving the results. Finally, the intern will be responsible for making recommendations on what changes should be made to the program to drive even stronger results in the future.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications:
Academic Major Preferred (Undergrad and Masters) Business Major with concentration or minor in Marketing and Analytics
Experience and/or interest in Marketing via previous work, classes, clubs or other campus activities
Interest in Analytics and experience with using Excel to analyze data and generate insights
Must be in the Minneapolis market and able to work out of Edina sales office
