Responsibilities *Attention Nursing Students! Our Summer Nursing Assistant Program is almost here!* Open to Associate of Science-Nursing or Bachelor of Science-Nursing students, who are available to join our Nursing Assistant Float Pool team beginning May or June through August. *possibility of continuance beyond the summer! The Nursing Assistant performs assigned patient care tasks and other related unit duties, defined, and delegated under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse/Licensed Professional Nurse. Paid training Minimum work requirement of 3 to 4 (7.5) hour shifts per week. Additional shifts may be available. Alternating weekends required. Qualifications Minimum Education: Completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent preparation and/or experience required. High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent preferred. Minimum Experience: 1 year of prior acute care experience preferred or CNA or completion of first clinical course in RN/LPN program. Required Certification/Registration: CNA certificate preferred if experience is minimal. BLS certification current and ongoing. Internal Crisis Intervention training required.
