About this opportunity:

Under the direction of the Product Handling Supervisor, the Scalehouse Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the truck loading spouts as well as the admin work associated with truck loading. This includes the use of consoles, as well as working along-side truck drivers and operators.  Additionally, the Scalehouse operator is responsible for documentation of daily activities. This role works with other Offsites personnel and various LR Departments. The Scalehouse operator position will also assist with other operations personnel when needed as well as the truck loading administrator.

Work Environment:

Candidates must have the ability to work various hours (day shifts only). Work schedule to be determined

Overtime as required based on business needs and schedules

This position is based out of our Lloydminster Refinery facility and would require the successful candidate to reside/relocate to the area

The applicant will be required to work in a wide variety of conditions due to the nature of the operation (working at heights, in confined spaces, with noise, in extreme weather. conditions, toxic environments, etc.)

This is a unionized role (UNIFOR)

What you’ll do:

Perform safe operations to meet production targets, by monitoring process variables & equipment parameters to identify abnormal conditions and carry out appropriate changes. Work requests as required, ensure proper coding and adequate detail is given for notifications. 

Follow daily instruction sheets. Complete and log all actions as per Daily Log Books (time and description of events and actions taken), daily order sheets, and STP. This includes routine safety checks and housekeeping duties.

Complete required operator training and ensure allocated training hours are met

Complies with all HS&E and ISO 9001 requirements in the performance of this Position's responsibilities

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Grade 12 Diploma

3-5 years working in an industrial setting

We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines.  A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
