Education / Technical requirements + Enrolment in a University program, completing 2 years in a physics or engineering field + Experience in connecting requirements to solutions + Ability to develop basic design of experiments + Knowledge of optics and mechanics an asset + Proficiency in reading and interpreting GD&T mechanical engineering drawings an asset + Proficient use of MS Office -Word/Excel and Adobe Key Competencies: + Must be a highly motivated self-starter and can work independently towards task completion + Efficiently prioritize, organize and execute on given tasks + Strong written and communication skills; interfacing with product development teams + Ability to be adaptive and take initiative + Work with a dynamic group of people across design, test and quality + Good attention to detail with the ability to work in a highly organized manner This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government’s Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program.
