The Princeton Lumber Division is seeking Summer Students for entry-level mill production laborer roles (General Laborers) for summer 2025 from April/May until September 2025. We want individuals who are committed to safety, have an interest in working in a manufacturing facility, and maintain a positive attitude with a high-level work ethic.

The starting pay for this position is $34.025 per hour.

Position Duties:

Entry-level labor duties will vary to include (but not limited to) equipment operation, manual handling of lumber and debris, shoveling and sweeping wood materials, spark watch, etc.Every employee is required to report safety issues, concerns or hazards.Provide occasional relief coverage for regular operators.May be on-call and some night shifts may be required.Perform other duties as assigned.

All applicants must have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent Must be attending or enrolled to attend a post-secondary institution and at least 18 years oldAbility and willingness to work as a manual laborer in a high-paced production environment while following all safe work practices and procedures and wear all required PPEPhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work indoors or outdoors, and in varied climatesStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skillsWell-developed planning and organization abilitiesA willingness to work alternate shifts and varying hoursMust bring a commitment to safety, a positive attitude, and a desire to perform physical workMust be team-orientedAble to work independently as required.
