The Production Summer Students are required to provide vacation relief on our manufacturing floor from May to the end of August. The Summer Student must be able to work 40-hour weekly shift and will be assigned to one of the shifts; days, afternoons or nights and must have the ability to rotate shifts if required.

Safety, quality and attendance are key components of the job. 

 

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Converting or Corrugator Supervisor, you will be required to:

 

Work as part of a team, you will be responsible for the daily production of quality corrugated products in a safe and efficient mannerFeed corrugated stock into the machines or pack boxesDemonstrate attention to detail by ensuring order specs and special requirements are accurately followedPerform production quality checks according to WestRock production requirementsWork efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, a quality product, and a satisfied customerMaintain proper housekeeping practices to ensure a safe work environmentOther duties as assigned

 

What you need to succeed:

Must be at least 18 year of age or olderEnrolled in a post-secondary educationAble to work one of the 3 shifts available, as assigned
