What you’ll Be Doing:
Guest Experience: Strive to exceed guest expectations and provide the finest mountain recreation experience. Leadership: Lead by example, fostering team spirit, cooperative work ethics, and exceptional relationships with guests and staff. Assist with hiring, coaching, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, payroll, and staff management. Judgment & Initiative: Take initiative with routine matters and use quick, thoughtful judgment in emergency situations. Winter Trail Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance of winter trails and vegetation control. Summer Operation: Organize setup of hiking sightseeing and Bike Park operations, and ensure the upkeep and construction of hiking trails and sightseeing areas. Team Coordination: Manage daily team shifts (approx. 10 hours) with clear descriptions of assigned tasks and responsibilities. Safety & Training: Conduct morning meetings, job hazard analyses, and provide safety orientation to ensure staff are fully trained on equipment and procedures. Documentation: Ensure complete documentation of tasks and projects. Emergency Response: Provide operational support and respond to emergency situations, including fire suppression on the mountain. Help with Initial attack Fire Suppression on mountain Cross-Department Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with other departments and managers. Safety Leadership: Conduct regular safety talks, meetings, and on-the-job training for all new tasks. Ensure staff safety and compliance with safety protocols at all times. Attendance & Grooming Policy: Ensure punctuality, adherence to uniform standards, and grooming policies.
Qualifications:

BC Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract mandatory Previous supervisory or trail experience an asset Functional knowledge of mountain operations an asset Functional knowledge of the use of a chainsaw/brush saw is an asset Basic computer skills an asset ATV experience an asset OFA Level 3 is an asset Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Flexible schedule an asset Proof of clear criminal record check
