We are seeking a highly motivated 

Summer Trainee, Nordics Business Control team

The candidate will join the Nordics Business Control team. She/he supports regional and Nordics level controllers in driving and monitoring the regional business performance by providing financial insight. She/he supports with ensuring KONE business activities are conducted in accordance with the KONE Financial Control Model (FCM), and that financial impacts are measured and reported following the KONE accounting standards and instructions.  The purpose of the traineeship is also to provide an opportunity to see and learn the KONE Business models and build capability for extended responsibilities in the future.

This is a summer trainee position, with possible opportunity to continue with hourly based contract after the summer period.

Responsibilities and Key Activities:

Support in performing or organizing the execution of the business controlling tasks as defined in KONE Financial Control Model to ensure that key reporting principles have been implemented and followedSupport in ensuring the correctness of managerial reporting including volume reporting (orders received and sales), financial reporting (margin and profit), performance KPI’s and contract profitabilitySupport in analyzing and understanding the weekly/monthly actual performance of the business, as well as the deviations compared to planned (budget/forecast) performanceSupporting the Regional Business Controller in providing general analysis tasks that support the Regional leaders e.g. analyzing the opportunity funnel and producing scenario analyses for versatile purposeResponsibility of development projects related to more efficient ways of working and/or harmonization within the Nordics organization

 

Requirements for the role:

1-2 years of Masters studies left (B. Sc in Finance or Business Administration)Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledgeGenuine interest towards BI-tools and development, SQL and interest to understand the SAP ERP work flowsInterest towards understanding the end-to-end business dynamics behind the numbersProfessional experience in an industrial environment, including cost planning, profitability analysis, financial modelling and business partnering is considered as an assetStrengths in analytical and communication skills, as well as good organizational and process planning skillsFluent in Finnish and English


The position is located in Helsinki and the preferred start would be in May 2025
