We are now looking for a Summer Trainee, Material Management!
Are you ready to put your academic knowledge and skills into practice in a dynamic and international environment? We are looking for a motivated Summer Trainee to join our Planning & Material Management Europe team from the beginning of May until the end of August 2025.
Material Management Trainee will play a crucial role in coordinating the operative purchasing of elevator modules from suppliers and KONE factories to distribution centers. Trainee will also monitor and improve supplier performance through close collaboration with various internal stakeholders, including SQM, Procurement, and Engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate purchasing operations to ensure timely and accurate execution
Support Supply Managers by ensuring seamless material flow
Manage changes in Purchase Orders
Assist in problem solving activities between suppliers and KONE engineers
Analyze and report supplier operational performance
Carry out development activities in collaboration with SQM and Procurement
Requirements:
2-5 years of study towards a degree in a technical or commercial field
Previous experience in purchasing or customer service
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Upper-Intermediate English; additional languages are an asset (e.g., Finnish, Chinese, Italian)
Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
Proficiency in MS Excel
Understanding of different manufacturing technologies is an asset
