About Sunsilk
Sunsilk is one of the billion-euro brand for Unilever, housed under the Beauty and Wellbeing division. RESPONSIBILITIES 

The successful candidate will report to Sunsilk Senior Global Engagement Manager and the Senior Manager of Innovation. We are looking for a Senior Assistant Brand Manager capable of leading projects for both Engagement and Innovation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to demonstrate independent leadership and clearly ownable deliverables.  We’re looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running, demonstrate high levels of responsibility, ownership, an immense bias for actions and desire to develop within the exciting and demanding world of hair care. A very good eye for beauty & aesthetic is important.

Main responsibilities in Innovation will include:

Leading the overall project management of Sunsilk innovation projectsUnderstanding and analysing global trends and key competitive moment leading to development project innovation design and landing them in a well-developed innovation pipeline for the brand.Co-Lead strategic thinking, development and deployment of the global innovation toolbox with a view to execute them across markets.Lead on-trend innovations with break-through science, build beauty mixes that drive desirability.

Main responsibilities in Engagement will include:

Act as project leader to deliver communication & engagement activities for a brand Core of the Core project with a strong focus on digital, technology and Others Say programs.Lead engagement activities for a key Core of the Core project including but not limited to project management, OTIF delivery on essential communication & content assets, adaptation of communication assets for key market airing.Deploy and track best-in-class Engagement Toolboxes across key Sunsilk markets embedding all the strengths of the brand cohesively into one strong story the countries will have to activate using a centralized engagement framework (ATL, cohorts, and media that matters (other say, digital, Tik Tok, etc).Co-Lead delivering the brand transformation through a new & unified brand world delivering a consistent brand calendar and communication cadence on a Core of the Core projects, bearing in mind local insights for key markets.Track and govern the implementation of Distinct Brand Assets in all markets/assets

ALL ABOUT YOU 

Relevant experience in Innovation and Comms/Engagement with a strong passion for Beauty or Personal Care with eye for detail, beauty and craftsmanship.Relevant experience in strategy and mix crafting, preferably for beauty brands.Consumer obsessed to represent their voice on the table of brand discussions. Has experience in managing cross-cultural relationships with multiple marketsHas experience in developing successful communication both above and below the lineHas experience in effectively managing the relationship with global advertising agency partnersHas a passion for beauty and personal care, with eyes for beauty & craftmanship.Strong sense of ownership with ability to lead & manage quality & deadline of workstream on your own.Has strong communication skills, can articulate a clear point of view, and share it with key internal and external stakeholders across functions Is a problem-solver: someone who can identify and clearly articulate an issue and propose solutionsIs curious and has empathy: someone who asks the right questions, is externally focused and obsessed with trying to understand consumers better. Consumer-centric & alert with new market/consumer trendsIs a creative thinker, able to express good creative judgement of assets developed by agency partners, keeping brand and consumer insights in mind.Shows leadership and is reliable: holds the team accountable for deliveries and keeps things moving with speed without letting any ball dropHas strong analytical skills and a good business acumenIs a natural team player with strong collaboration skillsBe bold in thought and brave in action. Location  

In 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London to house the employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars ("100VE"), Lever House in Kingston and Graze in Richmond, the build is due to be complete in early 2025. Most recently, in August 2024, we announced our intention to retain our premises in 100VE until our lease expires in 2027.

We are due to consult with our existing workforce on the new proposal to retain 100VE for the duration of our lease. Therefore, until such a time consultation has concluded as to the retention of our 100VE office, this role will be based in 100 Victoria Embankment until early 2025 and then will move to the Kingston Campus.

Recruitment Fraud 

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate. 

 

How is Unilever tackling this? 

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down. 

 

What can I do?
