BrightBytes is an educational analytics company focused on linking the use of technology in education to student outcomes. We're backed by investors in the education space that share our passion and commitment and a rapidly growing SaaS platform with hundreds of happy customers.
You have a keen attention to detail, love to multi task, and are a phenomenal communicator who loves connecting with people, figuring out what makes them tick, and going the extra mile to understand and address their pain points.
You're curious and excited at the opportunity to jump into a startup with a mission centered on improving children's education. You want to work closely with the founders to execute the company's mission to “improve the way the world learns through technology.”
The ideal candidate is a:
Masterful multi tasker – It takes a lot to frazzle you. You thrive under pressure, feel comfortable dealing with a number of tasks simultaneously, have a natural ability to prioritize long to-do lists, and pride yourself on delivering a high quality output every single time.
Scheduling guru – You will be booking a fair amount of travel, making last minute lunch and dinner reservations, booking private venues and group dinners, scheduling speaking engagements at educational conferences, sending out press releases, ordering business cards and brochures, sending gift baskets, and more. Are you up for it?
Avid researcher – You enjoy finding the proverbial "needle in a haystack,” and you have the ability to research press and conference speaking opportunities, create a list of educational publications, gather advertising rates, and complete similar research projects.
Closet novelist - You will be writing on behalf of the company management to some of the most influential and important folks within the U.S. educational system, so written and communication skills, and timely follow up skills will be indispensable for success in this position. You should have an ability to personalize messages and a desire to get to know folks on the other end of emails over time.
Organized and detail oriented – You will be managing the time for our executive team, so attention to detail and quality will be extremely important - accounting for time zones, sending confirmations and reminders, updating calendars, scheduling webinars and cofrence calls, and more.
Entrepreneurial – You are excited about the fast-paced ups and downs and incredible hands-on creative problem solving that comes with being part of a small start-up team. You’ll have to prove to us you can handle the pressure that comes from building things from scratch.
Other – You sometimes wonder what the computer would say if it spoke or how rested it feels coming off a sleep cycle. You are highly proficient in operating a computer. In fact, it’s not unusual for colleagues and friends to seek you out for help with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software. You have a financial sensibility and can manage expense reporting and an office budget. Experience with SalesForce.com and QuickBooks would be a huge plus.
