Compensation
Salary range: $93,473(min) - $132,672 (max)
(Grade D/ 621 points)
UTLO rate: $142,650
Responsibilities
+ The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of communication support functions for the Capital Program and operation of the EMD
+ Telecommunications group including managing the daily operation of the Data Provisioning Layer 2/3 group; collaborating with MOW and C&D Engineering
+ departments on the strategic direction for the Department of Subways’ OT Network, and provide guidance to staff in the development and implementation of new
+ and existing technologies on Capital Construction Contracts and various pilot projects. Responsibilities will also include: managing the daily operation of EMD
+ Contract Compliance, comprised of Professional and Technical, Supervisory and Hourly personnel; monitoring safety compliance, budget control, procurement,
+ payroll, fleet management, asset management, and providing support for In-House construction installations of various communication systems.
Education and Experience
+ A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science or a closely related field of study and eight (8) years of full-time related experience, of which five
+ (5) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; Or
+ A satisfactory combination of education and experience.
Desired Skills
+ In-depth knowledge of various Data Transmission technologies supporting IP Networking and monitoring.
+ Experience working with Professional & Technical, Supervisory and Hourly Personnel.
+ Experience as a lead technical/manager of communications in an operating environment.
+ Experience managing complex technical and operational incidents. Working Knowledge of EMD communication assets.
+ Extensive knowledge of Section 19 of the NYCT Communication specifications.
+ Familiarity with MTA-IT security guidelines.
+ Knowledge of NYCT’s current Design Build Process.
+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
