Superintendent, Interiors
Responsibilities The Commercial Interiors Superintendent will coordinate all field operations for the commercial fit out of a large scale, fast track project with a commitment to quality and safe construction processes. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: Day-to-day onsite field supervision of construction activities, third party vendors, and contractors. Maintain project schedule and proactively manage the project budget by owning approvals and deliveries, controlling expenses, and reviewing submittal data. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients. Collaborate with internal Project Managers, Design Managers and Development Managers. Drive construction document coordination phase, and review document packages for procurement and develop detailed scopes of work. Help formulate, maintain, and execute project schedule. Manage the permit process with expeditor, DOB, MTA, and related governmental requirements. Lead jobsite foreman’s meetings. Compensation $110,000 - $160,000 / year Annual performance based bonus Qualifications 5-10 years’ experience in complicated commercial building interiors. Experience should include retail, commercial and institutional with a high level of systems and finishes. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred. Experienced with Super’s license, OSHA 30, and Procore, with proven experience managing a crew on $5+ million project. A mature professional with excellent judgment and intuitive interpersonal skills. Exceptional communications skills – written and verbal.
