Job description:
Purpose:
Manages and coordinates the IT Operations Section. Responsible for design, deployment and support of IT services including personal computer/laptop devices, L1/2 server and network infrastructure, mobility, telecommunications, local infrastructure operations, conferencing facilities, end user incident/request fulfilment management, change management and security to meet site’s business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the end-to-end process of site services management.Manage the site IT infrastructure including network (wired/wireless), provide L1/2 server and network support, conferencing and end user computer devices.Work with customers, Region, Group, and Vendors to deliver on IT operations and projects.Accountable for SLA/OLAs with Incident and Request Fulfilment for IT Operations.Follow project management methodology and manages local project resources to meet requirements, deadlines, and responds to unexpected events.Ensure that design and selection of new infrastructure solutions are in alignment with Region and Group IT & Digital strategies and policies.Manage PC/Laptop, Network and Server asset management lifecycle.Conduct architecture/security reviews through PMO processes.Understand and communicate IT & Digital strategy to IT operations team.Ensure adherence to established Region and Group strategies, standards and policies.Provide metrics tracking of operational performance and quality of services. Perform trend analyses and develop action plans for improving service timeliness and reducing costs.Lead server and network teams in troubleshooting, capacity planning and analysis, performance analysis, post-mortem in conjunction with the Regional office.Promote a culture that emphasizes service excellence and recommend continual improvement in service management strategy.Management and sustainment of effective IT services using the principles and methods associated with industry best practices (e.g. ITIL)Hire, train, and evaluate site Network and IT engineers to deliver IT services effectively and efficiently.Supervising a team of network support specialist, server and desktop engineers.Developing and updating IT Operations policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with group and region guidelines and standards.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, information systems etc.Masters will be an added Advantage.Experience:
Minimum 10 years of related experience in IT Operations Management.Proven experience as an IT Superintendent or similar role.Significant experience in managing the delivery of Server or Data Centre, Networking and Service Delivery Services.Strong, demonstrated infrastructure project management experience.Experience working with C-level executives and Heads of Departments.Relevant IT certifications i.e. CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, ITIL.Managing teams with configuring and managing Cisco switches, routers, core switches, and phone systems.Managing teams with configuring and managing Cisco IOS/ISO-XE, Wireless LAN controllers, and Cisco Prime.Member of ICTAZ or EIZ.Behavioral Traits:
