The primary responsibility of this position is to provide on-site supervision, running day-to-day operations, including subcontractor coordination. They will be responsible for the overall coordination and completion of the project, ensuring all safety, quality, and health standards and schedules are met.
As a full-time Commercial Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:Primary ResponsibilitiesOversee phases of a construction project from construction kick-off to completion and turnover to ensure compliance with the project schedule. Maintain a variety of logs and records related to work assignments and inspection activities.Conducts a daily log of all work performed on the site and in Procore, to include photos of the site. Responsible for supervision of all workers onsite, to include the foreman who is also responsible for his or her employees. Performs daily safety audit of the project site, documenting results and ensuring deficiencies are corrected immediately. Conduct preconstruction meetings with each trade contractor prior to beginning work. Inspect all phases of construction work to ensure construction is completed in compliance with the plans, standards, specifications, special requirements, codes and regulations. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project and future business. Position RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred5 or more years of experience in development, building trades, construction, and/or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experienceSkilled problem solvers with a knack for working with people to achieve success.Ability to work short-term projects of nine to eleven months, involving 85% travelBenefits and PerksPer diem to cover food and lodging while traveling Vehicle reimbursement program is availablePaid Time OffPaid HolidaysMedical / Dental / Vision Coverage including High Deductible Health Plan401k with a Company MatchShort-Term / Long-Term DisabilityPaid Maternity / Paternity LeaveYour relationship with subcontractors and owners is crucial to delivering results, and you’ll actively communicate with each to understand, investigate and resolve issues. Your role will focus on problem solving, providing direction to multiple subcontractors regarding procedures, clarifications, labor and equipment schedules and other appropriate matters. You’ll communicate regularly with your Construction Project Manager and will utilize ProCore software for project management.
