Description

Client is seeking a Superintendent to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction on large scale commercial projects in Southern Nevada. The candidate will be responsible for all onsite activities of a construction project ranging from start-up to punch-out, including:

Coaching subcontractors on safe construction practices

Quality control, ensuring all subcontractor deficiencies are corrected

Maintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendors

Facilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordination

Working with design team and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions

Reviewing all drawings, specifications, and submittals

Daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates

The superintendent’s role is to ensure whatever is required to facilitate the construction of the project on site from beginning to completion while utilizing company's best practices in safety, quality, schedule, and cost while maintaining relationships with both our trade partners and our clients. These projects are often for a wide range of institutional clients, including colleges, universities, K-12 districts, municipalities, healthcare systems and more. The projects may range from $10K to over $100 million in construction costs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

At least 5 years’ experience as a Commercial Building Superintendent, preferably in Southern Nevada.

Have experience with and a general understanding of structural concrete and structural steel components.

Have a general understanding of MEP systems.

Have a general understanding of UG civil utilities and earthwork in general.

Have a general understanding of the public works side of commercial construction.

Have a general understanding of interior and exterior finishes and their sequencing.

Have experience with Procore.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00
