Superintendent

Reporting to the Contract Manager, Site Superintendent will be responsible for leading, planning, directing and control the operations of the allocated contract. Ensure contract requirements are met and in line with the Strategic Relationship Charter as well as ensuring clients’ expectations safety, quality, time and cost objectives are met and delivered.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Manage all aspects of contract delivery from site and team-set up to handover through the application of Downer Contract Management tools and systems Develop and review operational planning and monitor progress of the allocated contract. Ensure the contract is on schedule and within quality and estimates Ensure timely engagement of personnel are suitably skilled to undertake assigned work tasks. Provide guidance regarding the development and delivery of employee training. Maintain and Promote Downer’s Oil & Gas Journey to Zero Harm Maintain a strategic role in client liaison Resolve both major and day-to-day on-site industrial relations problems and escalate if necessary Ensure toolbox meetings are scheduled and attended. Encourage open & positive communication between all employees and subcontractors at this forum Regularly review and monitor contract costs and take corrective action if significant deviations from budget occur Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and government legislation, objectives and priorities

 ABOUT YOU

Tertiary Qualified in an engineering discipline preferably Mechanical / Electrical or Building Services Strong background and focus on critical infrastructure asset management and maintenance Contract management and construction engineering Minimum of 10 years in the maintenance sector, with industry knowledge of this industry A specific focus within the resources, social infrastructure, critical facilities, plant and equipment lifecycle engineering management and maintenance Previously worked in remote locations preferred (but not essential)
