Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to oversee ground-up construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects from start to finish, ensuring quality control, project safety, and effective coordination of manpower, materials, equipment, and site logistics.
ResponsibilitiesSchedule the entire project from start to finish using MS Project or similar software.Act as the primary superintendent for ground-up projects.Track subcontractors’ progress, maintain the project schedule, and coordinate with various agencies for reporting and compliance with project documents and specifications.Manage field crew, including project engineers, foremen, and assistant superintendents.Ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.Manage project safety protocols.Provide on-site coordination of manpower, materials, equipment, and site logistics.Effectively manage job site challenges such as weather conditions or emergencies.Monitor cost control and job costing, quantity reporting, forecasting, and productivity.Essential SkillsAbility to schedule entire projects from start to finish using MS Project or similar software.Experience as the primary superintendent on ground-up projects.Strong track record in tracking subcontractors’ progress and maintaining project schedules.Ability to manage field crews, including project engineers, foremen, and assistant superintendents.Proficiency in quality control and project safety management.Effective on-site coordination of manpower, materials, equipment, and site logistics.Capability to manage job site challenges such as weather conditions or emergencies.Experience in cost control, job costing, quantity reporting, forecasting, and productivity monitoring.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling, and cost control procedures.Familiarity with general contracts, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs.Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of accounting and cost control procedures.Experience with managing large tenant improvement projects ranging from $500k to $5M on a 4-6 month timeline.Proficiency with MS Project software and the ability to put together 3 Week Look Ahead schedules.Tech-savvy with the ability to work with Bluebeam and Procore software as needed.Work Environment
The superintendent will work on-site, coordinating various aspects of construction projects. The work environment may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and job site challenges. The role requires effective on-site coordination and management to ensure project success.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
