Job Title: SuperintendentJob Description We are seeking a mid-level commercial superintendent to join our team in Virginia Beach. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in K-12 and higher education construction, as well as state and municipality construction. This role requires someone who can lead a team with minimal training, motivate team members, read and interpret construction plans, oversee all aspects of construction, and participate in pre-mobilization, coordination, and closeout meetings. Responsibilities + Lead and motivate a construction team on both large and small scale projects. + Read and interpret construction plans and documents. + Oversee all aspects of construction from ground up. + Participate in owner, pre-mobilization, coordination, and closeout meetings. + Develop overall construction plans for projects. + Manage subcontractors and ensure site safety. + Utilize construction management software. Essential Skills + Construction management experience. + General contractor and subcontractor management. + Experience in commercial construction. + Proficient in supervision and site construction. + Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents. + Experience with K-12 and higher education construction is a plus. + Completed OSHA 30 Hour Course for Construction. + Current First Aid Certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel. + Experience with project management software. + Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. + Ability to lead an onsite team.
