ABOUT THE ROLE

 

This role is a Permanent 9-day fortnight working arrangement – Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities;

 

As the Superintendent Maintenance Planning & Control, you will be responsible to ensure the development, endorsement, approval and communication of all plans and schedules for Maintenance within an Operational area, including HSEC, Production, and other discrete activities where 1SAP Work Management processes are being applied within these Functions.

 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:  

Ensure compliance to the 1SAP work management processes. Delivery of all work management plans and schedules Chair the weekly shared resource leveling meeting and monitor and report meeting attendance as per 1SAP process requirements. Ensure that accurate weekly work schedules are produced, aligned to the corresponding 12 week planning window, and signed off by relevant sub functions. Supports the Business Process and Data Coach in the governance of the1SAP processes at the operation. Support Improvement sub-functions in the development and validation of the maintenance budget based on preventative and corrective maintenance work strategies in 1SAP. Lead and demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development through personal behaviours and leadership.   Demonstrate leadership through personal behaviours that are consistent with South32 Values; Trust, Care, Togetherness and Excellence and the Code of Business Conduct.  

 

 

ABOUT YOU 

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:  

Excellent negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills. Able to effectively and creatively challenge people, situations, and current thinking. Strong understanding in Maintenance Planning principles Previous experience in Maintenance Planning Experience in vendor assessment and due diligence processes when selecting suppliers. Experienced in Vendor Management processes to ensure alignment with supply processes. 10+ years’ experience in a mining or related industry 5+ years’ experience at a leadership level. Ability to consult and collaborate with others to influence positive outcomes.

 

 

Qualifications for this position are:

Preferable – tertiary qualification in a relevant degree – Engineering or Business. Experience in maintenance planning in continuous operations and experience in coordination and management of Contractors preferred.
