Job Description

Role Details:

Reporting to the Manager- Asset Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for the leadership of the Maintenance Planning Department, playing a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing maintenance planning activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of gold resources. You will contribute to organisational success by delivering an optimal maintenance plan across all production areas of operations through pragmatic, effective, and collaborative maintenance planning covering short-term (implementation) through to Life of Mine (LOM) requirements aligned to the strategic direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans, considering all elements of the mining and processing operation as inputs.Work closely with technical and operational teams to optimize equipment performance, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence standards.Collaboratively review and update maintenance plans to leverage off ongoing, performance, and operational feedback aligning operations to annual business objectives and LOM strategy.Monitor and analyse maintenance costs, identifying improvement areas and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.Provide leadership, mentorship, training, and development opportunities to team members.Communicate regularly with senior management, providing updates on maintenance planning activities, production forecasts, and key performance indicators.Foster a culture of business and continuous improvement by regularly identifying and pursuing opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the mine planning and production process.
