Superintendent (Transitioning Trades)
We are looking for a keen superintendent who's experience rose from the trades. Prior experience on public contracts is preferred.Key Responsibilities:Lead & Supervise: Manage daily field activities, overseeing project site operations and ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard. Provide hands-on leadership to skilled tradespeople and coordinate field operations.Technical Expertise: Apply deep construction knowledge to ensure that all activities meet project specifications, deadlines, and safety requirements. Be the go-to expert for troubleshooting and solving technical challenges on-site.Project Coordination: Work closely with trade teams, engineers, and other professionals to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain clear and constant communication to keep everyone aligned on goals and timelines.Safety Leadership: Prioritize safety on-site by identifying potential hazards and working with the safety manager to implement effective safety protocols. Lead by example to ensure safety standards are met at all times.Proposal Development: Contribute to proposal sections related to your specialty, including man-hours, scope, and equipment, helping to outline resources needed for the successful execution of the project.Team Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for field teams, ensuring that all trades are properly coordinated, and resources are allocated efficiently for optimal project outcomes.Problem Solving: Quickly address and resolve any issues or roadblocks that arise in the field, making decisions that keep the project on track and maintaining a high level of quality control.Preferred Skills & Experience:Extensive Field Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in construction management or equivalent in the field, with proven expertise in leading trade teams on large-scale projects.Construction Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction principles, techniques, and contract documents, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety, First Aid/CPR, and understanding of EM 385-1-1 requirements.Technical Proficiency: Strong organizational skills and proficiency with basic office software (Word, Excel), and the ability to use project management tools effectively.Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead teams, collaborate with contractors and vendors, and communicate progress to stakeholders.Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required for travel to and from job sites.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00
