Supervisor, Benefit Configuration

Position Purpose: The Supervisor Benefit Configuration manages a team to create and maintain plan related documents and to incorporate new plans and benefit modifications as needed. This position will assign work to team and manage overall project workload to completion. The Supervisor Benefit Configuration is responsible for representing team and department in cross functional meetings related to any system changes/modifications and work closely with Product Development and Sales to ensure accurate representation of benefit designs.

Attend meetings related to new product or regulatory changes; implements changes to related processes, documents, such as schedule of benefits, and appropriate databases, ensures proper follow-up and resolution for all updates/product changes.

Oversee and assign workload; work with analysts to create and refine work aids.

Supervise, direct, and evaluate the activities of staff. Serve as a resource for staff and continuously cross-train to maximize knowledge, capabilities, and level of expertise.

Insure compliance with regulatory changes to processes/documentation.

Answer benefit configuration inquires and address issues identified by sales, brokers, customer contact department and other internal customers.

Participate in SOX review/compliance; participates in audits and works closely with compliance as needed.

Participate in projects related to system enhancement and UAT Testing.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s preferred. Minimum 5 years in health insurance industry. Minimum 3 years benefit design/implementation specific experience.

Pay Range: $67,400.00 - $121,300.00 per year
