This position oversees the quality and efficiency of work in the CS department. The CS Supervisor participates in the duties performed in CS while leading by example the CS Technicians and Surgical Technicians assigned to the area. CS is responsible for the safe decontamination of instruments used in OR and other departments within the Wilson Medical system. The CS Supervisor plans, performs and maintains records for the reprocessing and sterilization of Surgical Instruments and equipment. The Supervisor meets with vendors as necessary, performs quality checks on equipment daily, and maintains all records of quality activities. The Supervisor attends meetings as assigned. The Supervisor of CS accompanies the Director of Surgical Services on any regulatory surveys that present at Wilson Medical.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent - Required Degree in Surgical Technology -RequiredRequired License/Certifications:
- BLS required, or obtained during first week of hire
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician- Required within a year of accepting the Supervisor CS position
