Position SummaryAs the Supervisor, Certified Pre-Owned you will oversee employees in the achievement of table refurbishment goals, in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Costs, Employees (SQDCE). This role oversees the refurbishment operations in their assigned department/category. You will also coach and develop staff to ensure proficiency of technical skills and pave the way to career progression. In this role, your day-to-day will include people management, allocating work and repair quotas, managing Team Leaders to ensure they are effectively distributing work to technicians, and managing employee's time.
This role requires onsite work 5 days a week at our Indianapolis, IN location.
Advocate safety procedures in making sure that the work is performed properly and in a timely manner. Ensures appropriate Safety training is provided. Manages all procedures regarding any work injuries that require care (i.e.., work care, injury report). Assess team skills and manages team training efforts to ensure technicians are adequately trained and progressing on their skills matrix. Collaborates with the training specialist to ensure training schedule and that proper training is performed. Assign specific tasks and delegates responsibilities as necessary to qualified employees. Review resumes, interviews candidates, and debriefs with next level manager, to select, and hire the best candidate, and recommends the most appropriate candidates for the business. Advocate for employees and helps them navigate daily issues regarding work responsibilities, colleagues, customer expectations. Coach employees on performance and development. Acts as a mentor as employees learn new skills and abilities. Assess team skills and directs team training efforts to ensure technicians are adequately trained and progressing through their respective skills matrix. Deal with conflicts between colleagues. If a situation arises, supervisor counsels the parties involved and uses the company's best practices to mediate an acceptable resolution. Manage timekeeping and PTO (Paid Time Off) for department. Aid in the monitoring of refurbishment activities and ensures overall process is maintaining adequate standards. Collaborate with inventory and purchasing teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels and components are maintained. Has awareness of financials and how it can affect his/her department, responsible for ordering expense items for (tools, supplies). Understand standardized Metrics such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost (SQDC), and collaborate on taking actions to positively impact overall metrics for department or workgroup. Understands the costs of Scraps and takes actions to minimize waste. Understands the implications of Labor Hour per Unit (LHPU) and Part Cost per Unit (PCPU) and acts to reduce LHPU. Informs employee of QC failures and warranties ensures corrective actions to resolve issues. Able to communicate and stay on point to relay important and accurate information to team members or manage corporate messages. Able to form teams and get agreements on how they will work together for the benefit of the team. Knowledge and gaining experience with HR processes, such as hiring, onboarding (first day orientation to work), timekeeping, PTO, performance management processes, and disciplinary processes. The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed:
Required:
Associate Degree and minimum 1 year in surgical refurbishment environment or related field and one year of supervisory experience. Minimum 5 years in surgical equipment refurbishment or related field and 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, previous experience using Oracle preferred.
