General Summary
Supervises the day-to-day operations of the assigned clinical engineering service line. Assists management with program management, including equipment repair, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance, supervising and directing staff, planning and organizing workload, creating and maintaining open lines of communication, customer service, financial management, and team development. Work is performed under limited supervision.

QualificationsEducation and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required. Military training in these fields preferred.Minimum 7 years of experience working on biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment.Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead tech or supervisory role required.Valid driver’s license.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology and how it relates to the diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring characteristics of clinical equipment.Working knowledge of electronic and mechanical technology including the ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and mechanical schematics.Strong knowledge of CE-IT alliance.Familiarity with pertinent regulatory agencies, policies, codes, standards, and regulations that apply to the clinical equipment in their area.Familiarity with the setup and application of test equipment (e.g., electrical safety analyzer, digital multi-meter, patient simulator etc.).Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical literature, and schematics.Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Effective analytical, planning, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.Effective skill developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with all levels of leadership, staff and vendors.Willingness to be flexible in work scheduling to meet customer needs.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to validate work with keen attention to detail.Ability to effectively use software such as Microsoft Office and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
