Supervisor, Clinical Informaticist - IS Clinical Apps - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Exempt) (Non-Union)

Under the direction and supervision of the department leader(s), the Clinical Informatics position will be responsible for providing operational support of the interdisciplinary team to attain high quality patient care outcomes and leading integration of clinical practice and applications which include, but not limited to, nursing, provider, lab, radiology, pharmacy applications. Oversee and lead clinical informatics staff and processes to promote clinician use of the EHR and clinical technologies. Promote clinical informatics staff communication and collaboration with leadership, operations, IT teams across the Keck enterprise. Use and track data to monitor clinical adoption, efficiency, outcomes. Ensure regular clinical informatics staff rounding. Align the right clinical informatics staff for projects, go-lives, end-user support. Provide and oversee end-user training and at-the-elbow coaching/support. Work with a diverse customer base of clinical and support staff, management, and physicians. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Essential Duties:

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.Integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science to improve patient care safety, quality, efficacy, and efficiency.Lead and support informatics staff in efforts to plan, coordinate, and implement clinical technologies and work processes that align with organizational initiatives. Assist in testing as needed that is part of clinical technology and application implementations, enhancements, or upgrades.Ensures informatics staff representation on IT and Clinical department committees and professional initiatives.Facilitate utilization and adoption of clinical technologies that support application of new clinical knowledge, innovation.Ensures clinical informatics staff act as liaisons and consultants between clinical end-users and information systems to identify technology needs, seek feedback, interpret clinical system design requests, and coordinate end-user involvement with integration of information systems, clinical technologies, and practice.Leads and oversees informatics staff collaboration with clinical, IS, operation leaders to assure staff education, communication, preparedness to adopt new/revised technologies.Contributes to proficient informatics team operations, cost-effective resource utilization and financial outcomes by assessing and recommending personnel, workplace, technology resources.Collaborate with leadership to identify informatics and clinical SMEs for projects and or other efforts.Participates on various enterprise-wide committees as clinical IS representative and liaison.Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Req Bachelor's degreeReq 2–5 years RN clinical experienceReq Informatics or performance improvement experienceReq Must demonstrate excellent written/spoken and communication skillsReq Self-starter with ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change initiativesReq Strong presentation skills to executives and chief clinicians

Preferred Qualifications:

Pref Master’s degreePref Cerner experience

Required Licenses/Certifications:

Req Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing)Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
The annual base salary range for this position is $110,240.00 - $181,896.00.
