Lumicera Health Serivices is seeking a Manager, Clinical Services to join our team!
Under general direction of the Manager, Clinical Services at Lumicera Health Services, the Supervisor, Clinical Services is an active clinical pharmacist responsible for overseeing the Clinical Consultation Pharmacists within the Specialty Pharmacy Clinical Services Department. This role will work closely with Clinical Services Leadership to ensure staff are providing clinical and service excellence for our patients utilizing Lumicera’s Clinical Patient Management Program while meeting company quality and service level goals. As an active clinical pharmacist, this position is responsible for providing telephonic education to patients and caregivers following Clinical Protocols and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines. This individual will offer clinical intervention, counseling, and support services, which require substantial knowledge, judgement and professionalism based upon foundation of pharmacy practice and Lumicera’s high standard for patient care. The Supervisor, Clinical Services will vary work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs in support of company growth. This role may be expected to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge of record on various state licensures.

Schedule and monitor day-to-day workflow and staffing levels. Develop employee’s skills, evaluate performance, and provide feedback. Oversee resolution of employee relations. Conduct hiring, training and evaluation of staffDevelop, track and monitor employee’s compliance to quality, service, and production standardsMaintains accurate and detailed records of all prescription transactions and submits appropriate claims for third-party reimbursement; consults with physicians and nurses regarding pharmaceutical questions; advises physicians on formulary medications and cost-effective and innovative therapies; answers pharmaceutical questions from patients and staff; monitors storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticalsInterpret prescribers' prescriptions. Contact providers and/or patients to verify information on prescriptions such as drug strength, prescription signatures, and drug name in order to expedite processing of orders. Verify and confirm validity of controlled substancesVerify prescription information entered in the system by data entry or order entry. Contact physicians for new and/or transfer authorization. Work with physicians to convert prescriptions to generic or preferred drugs whenever possibleConsult with patients regarding the appropriate use of medications, adherence, side effect management, monitoring, and potential drug interactionsAssist in client transitions and onboarding to ensure a seamless transition of careDocument and report internal and external quality issues and medication errors. Report quality issues to direct supervisor. Facilitate error reduction and prevention strategies based off errors and ISMP standardsAble to produce, perform and maintain clinical program materials and services. This may include, but is not limited to development of clinical pathways, limited distribution strategies and addition of evidence-based practice materials. Able to perform as a client or manufacturer contact including ability to present clinical materials and maintain relationships for Lumicera’s partnerOther duties as assigned QualificationsWhat our team expects from you?
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or Pharm DPharmacist license in state of practice with current, unrestricted licenseMust continually maintain education credits to maintain active licensureMinimum of five years as a licensed Pharmacist preferredSpecialty pharmacy experience requiredPrevious supervisory experience preferredDemonstrated leadership skills including the ability to effectively develop and assist team members requiredParticipate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectivesThe ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employeesWhat can you expect from Navitus?
