The Collection Department at BILL is dedicated to preventing loss across all our credit and transactional products. We are seeking a results-oriented supervisor to lead a team of highly adaptive, cross trained frontline agents. This role is pivotal in our mission to recover outstanding debts while fostering positive customer relationships.

As a Collections Supervisor, you will lead a team of collection agents focused on outstanding performance. Your primary responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving performance excellence. Your leadership will play a critical role in motivating and guiding your team to achieve collection targets while upholding our company's values and standards.

Lead, coach, and mentor a team of collection agents to achieve individual and team performance targets. Monitor and evaluate collection activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Develop and implement strategies to optimize debt recovery efforts while maintaining positive customer relationships. Review delinquent accounts and provide guidance on appropriate collection tactics, negotiation strategies, and escalation procedures. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs to support the professional development of collection agents. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and customer service, to address complex collection issues and improve overall efficiency.

We’d love to chat if you have:

5+ years of experience in a credit or transactional collections environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role. Thorough understanding of debt collection laws, regulations, and best practices, including the FDCPA. Proven track record of achieving collection targets and managing a portfolio of delinquent accounts. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to excel. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations and resolve customer disputes effectively.

The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

Draper UT pay range$67,200—$80,400 USD
