The Supervisor, Early Childhood Development and Education Center (EDEC) will collaborate specified partners to ensure Center compliance with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) licensing and accreditation standards, meet grant and program outcomes, and develop and meet ongoing continuous quality improvement goals. The incumbent, in collaboration with the Manager, World of Care (WOC), will be responsible for supervising and scheduling assigned early care and education staff in order to meet program goals and support an inclusive and high-quality learning environment.

Responsibilities Provide supervision, guidance, and regular performance feedback to assigned staff on developmentally appropriate practices and all related personnel issues.Oversee daily scheduling in compliance with licensing standards.Assist with collection of assessment data in all classrooms.Assume classroom duties as needed.Collaborate with childcare staff, educators, therapists, and nurses to ensure each child has an individualized child learning plan that is updated quarterly and contains appropriate developmental goals.Assist staff in integrating Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) or Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives into daily activities, instruction, and routinesProvide professional early childhood education services, such as assessment, intervention, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.Remain current with and share information regarding trends in emerging/promising practices in early care and education as well as relevant MSDE policies and guidelines. I have read and understand the contents of this Job Description:Under the direction of the Manager, collaborate with other members of the leadership team to outline and achieve annual program goals, collect data, and contribute to program reports.Assist in monitoring operational licensing compliance of child care staff and teachers, ensuring childcare credentials, accreditation, and licensing standards are maintained.Collaborate with Professional Development Coordinator and other leadership team members in scheduling trainings under the direction of the Manager. Ensure maintenance of appropriate documentation and meet regularly with staff to discuss needs.Maintain documentation consistent with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and grant requirements as well as Institute and departmental expectations.Facilitate and evaluate an early childhood education student teaching program at WOC in partnership with local colleges and universities.Ensure maintenance of child care equipment. Purchase supplies as needed. Ensure costs remain within budget parameters and all appropriate records and documentation are maintained.Participate in departmental, intra- and interdisciplinary, and community education/outreach programs and activities related to early childhood care and education (e.g., team conferences, presentations, professional training/ staff development, and committee service). Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must hold current MSDE Early Childhood Education teaching certificate.Must meet all requirements for Infant and Toddler Certification, Early Childhood General, and other relevant certifications. per MSDE Office of Child Care regulations.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, special education, or related field is required.Master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years of experience in an early childhood setting required.Supervisory experience required.Experience working with children with complex medical needs preferred. Minimum pay range USD $63,390.00/Yr. Maximum pay range USD $112,127.00/Yr.
