Full TimeJob Summary: Responsible for planning, organizing and conducting support services educational programs. Participates in monitoring and identifying quality issues and pursues opportunities to elevate performance and customer service. Develops educational policies and procedures and provides professional level instruction under general direction and guidance. Assures staffing levels are met by staffing and managing a float pool team. Works with supervisors to assign float pool staff to critical work areas on a daily basis.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or Human Resources preferred.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: If applicable to degree.
Work Experience: 0-6 months related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent presentation skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of effective recruiting/marketing strategies. Strong knowledge of general human resources practices, including state and federal regulations related to employment. Strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge of adolescent learning needs and requirements. Skill in analyzing complex situations, making responsible decisions and in communicating agency procedures and requirements in a clear, concise manner. Skillful change agent, high degree of commitment, creating the environment where change can occur. Ability to operate projectors, audiovisual equipment, computers, other equipment used in instruction. Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems. Working knowledge of electronic reporting and communication systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates programs to ensure employees educational needs are identified and met. Instructs and tutors employees in assigned course work and classes. Prepares and administers teaching plan for employees. Prepares lesson plans and materials and secures curriculum for support services staff. Interacts with support services management team to determine educational needs and coordinate educational programs to meet those needs. Reports employee's training success, behavior, and performance concerns to area managers. Develops and updates support services employee orientation, training materials, and policies and procedures on an as needed basis. Working with assigned Human Resources recruiter reviews applications, pre-screens and interviews candidates to determine appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements. In coordination with Human Resources recruiter, determines compensation offers through application of authorized methodology and extends job offers. Along with Human Resources recruiter, coordinates and attends recruitment events. Pursues personal continuing education to improve knowledge and skills; and develops annual performance goals that align with the hospital strategic plan and values. Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates daily activities of float pool employees. Working with the management team schedules float pool employees to critical work areas to assure staffing levels are met on a daily basis.
